ABOUT ME

Snail Studio is a studio practice rooted in the exploration of material, mostly clay right now, and form. I started working with clay in 2016 as an extracurricular at Colorado College, and quickly found myself spending most of my free time in the studio. After graduating with a degree in Studio Art- Integrative Design and Architecture, the pandemic induced a hiatus from making. After the pandemic I moved to Western North Carolina, where, inspired by the thriving art culture in Asheville and the surrounding mountains, I restarted my studio practice.

Now located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where Snail Studio was officially formed, I feel it is the time to transition my career to art and exploration of object. Snail Studio represents to me a resistance to the mass-produced, a dedication to inviting art into the everyday, and an ode to reclaiming the “in-between”.
